If there is one key to mental and physical recovery, it is sleep. Deep rejuvenating sleep.
Here ‘s my sleep routine that I share with my professional and corporate athletes :
- Stop eating by 8pm
- No electronics by 9pm
- Before you climb into bed –
- Turn of the Wi-Fi
- 10 minutes of red light exposure – I use the Joov quad.
- 2 minutes – Cold shower
- Make sure the room is completely dark – remember your skin can pick up light and interrupt melatonin production
- Room temperature 68 degrees F (I sleep on an Ooler mat).
