Dr. Rena Szabo is a Health Psychologist that specializes in Psycho Oncology. Dr. Szabo is the Psychology Director for Banner Health and the Section Chief of Psycho Oncology for Banner MD Anderson Cancer Centers in Arizona and Colorado. Dr. Szabo is a health psychologist who specializes in behavioral medicine to treat cancer patients. Dr. Szabo achieved two master’s degrees before earning a Doctor of Psychology degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and completing her residency and fellowship. Dr. Szabo also achieved the honor and award of an Integrative Oncology Scholar by the University of Michigan.  Dr. Szabo’s specific interests are in the emotional, behavioral, and social factors that lead to the enhancement of health with the incorporation of integrative and/or complementary medicine in the prevention and treatment of cancer.
