A lifelong athlete, Dr. Ara Suppiah knows what it takes for an athlete to achieve his or her potential and thrives on creating optimal health in each of his patients. Born in Malaysia, he was awarded a merit based scholarship to study Medicine at Liverpool University in the United Kingdom.

During his career, Dr. Ara has been a physician on the European Tour, multiple European Ryder Cup Teams and most recently on the PGA Tour establishing himself as a pioneer in the fast developing field of Golf Medicine & Wellness.

Currently, Dr. Ara is a highly sought after personal physician on the PGA and LPGA Tour, treating an A list roster. He also maintains his position as a practicing ER Physician & Chief Wellness Officer for Florida Emergency Physician and just in case that wasn’t enough he has also recently become an Assistant Professor in Clinical Medicine at the University of Central Florida Medical School.

In March 2014, Dr. Ara was appointed as the first Medical Analyst on the Golf Channel in order to share his inside knowledge on various player injuries and how they can be avoided and remedied. Previously he has been featured in the BBC series Trauma.

Dr. Vonda Wright

Dr. Vonda Wright is an orthopedic surgeon and internationally recognized authority on active aging and mobility. She specializes in sports medicine and currently serves as the inaugural Chief of Sports Medicine and Orthopedics for Northside Health System in Atlanta. An intra-preneur, Dr. Wright was the Inaugural Medical Director of the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex a 158,000 sqft integrated sports medicine and performance joint venture between UPMC and the 5x Stanley Cup Campion Pittsburg Penguins and the founding director of the Performance and Research Initiative for Masters Athletes (PRIMA). Her pioneering research in mobility and musculoskeletal aging is changing the way we view and treat the aging process.

Dr. Wright cares for athletes and active people of all ages and skill levels from the Division I Georgia State Panthers, Pens Elite developmental hockey teams, University of Pittsburgh Division I athletes, World Rugby 7’s and Olympic track and field athletes and the Atlanta Ballet. She is a pioneering physician and thought leader for the new legion of E-Sports athletes.

In addition to her surgical practice, Dr. Wright is a media content expert and regularly appears on national TV shows including “Dr. Oz,” and “The Doctors.” She is frequently quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today and U.S. News & World Report, as well as in magazines such as Maxim, Prevention, Fitness, MORE, Runner’s World, Best Life, and Arthritis Today and numerous online publications.  She proudly serves on the Sharecare Medical Advisory Board.

Dr. Wright speaks worldwide and has authored five books; “Fitness After 40: How to Stay Strong at Any Age” and “Guide to THRIVE: 4 steps to Body, Brains & Bliss,” “Younger in 8 weeks,” an “A Parents Playbook for Raising Healthy Athletes,” and “Masterful Care of the Aging Athlete.” Dr. Wright earned her Masters of Science at Rush University, her medical degree from the University of Chicago, completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and her fellowship in sports and shoulder surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Dr. Richard J Hawkins

Dr. Richard J. Hawkins is a licensed, board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is widely recognized as one of the top shoulder surgeons in the world. He is a founding member and past president of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons society. Dr. Hawkins specializes in shoulder, elbow and knee reconstructive surgery and sports medicine. He is a professor of clinical orthopedic surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and co-founder of the Steadman Hawkins Clinic, along with his colleague, Dr. J. Richard Steadman. He is also a former team physician for the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies.

Dr. Hawkins has published over 200 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, seven textbooks on shoulder surgery, and presented more than 500 lectures at both national and international meetings. Dr. Dwight Lundell

Dr. Lundell’s experience in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery over the last 25 years includes having performed over 5000 coronary bypass operations, certification by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.  Dr. Lundell was a pioneer in “Off-Pump” heart surgery reducing surgical complications and recovery times. He’s in the Beating Heart Hall of Fame and has been listed in Phoenix Magazine’s Top Doctors for 10 years.  He has been recognized by his peers as a leader and has served as Chief resident at the University of Arizona and Yale University Hospitals and later served as Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery at several hospitals in the Phoenix area.  He was one of the founding partners of the Lutheran Heart Hospital which became the second largest Heart hospital in U.S. and is now owned by Banner Health.

In 2004, Dr. Lundell left his successful thoracic and cardiovascular surgical practice after 25 years to open a clinic to test his theory that inflammation in the arteries was the cause of heart disease, a theory traditional medicine saw as heresy, disputing the cholesterol theory.  Leaving surgery brought the freedom to refocus his career, writing books and articles, presentations, interviews and speeches to educate on inflammation and how to prevent and reverse heart disease through nutrition and lifestyle changes.  He is the author of “The Cure For Heart Disease.”

In addition to educating, Dr. Lundell competes in triathlons; he is the 2008 and 2010 Ironman Arizona Champion and placed 10th and 7th in the Ironman world championships in Kona Hawaii, in 2009, and 201.

Dr. Dave Vigerust

Dr. Vigerust received a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Texas at El Paso, a master’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology from Texas Tech University and a Doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Pathology from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Vigerust conducted post-doctoral research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Vigerust completed a second post-doctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical School in the Department of Pediatrics Disease in the area of molecular biology. Currently, Dr. Vigerust is completing a second master’s degree in Molecular Diagnostics from Arizona State University.

Dr. Vigerust was a faculty member in the Pathology, Immunology and Microbiology Department at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and a Health Research Scientist in the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs.  Most recently, Dr. Vigerust is the Chief Scientific Officer and molecular scientist for a diagnostics laboratory focused around precision medicine, genomics and infectious disease. Dr. Vigerust has published extensively in top tier international journals, presented his research at national and international conferences and is an active editor and reviewer for several prominent journals. Dr. Vigerust has developed several novel molecular diagnostic assays for the prediction of  inflammation and cardiovascular risk in patients with diabetes, infectious disease and cancer. Dr. Vigerust speaks often on the subject of precision medicine and was selected as a TEDx speaker in 2016.

Dr. Vigerust currently maintains an Adjunct Assistant Professor position at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the Department of Neurological Surgery and a Clinical Assistant Professor position with the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Ashley Mayer

Dr. Dan Rubin

Dr. Rubin’s practice of naturopathic oncology has been an integral part of the Phoenix metropolitan medical community for the past 20 years. After graduating from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in 1997, Dr. Rubin returned to SCNM to complete his residency. Dr. William Bradley Worthington, received his Medical Degree at the University of Louisville his postgraduate Internship, Residency, and Fellowship training took place at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Bruce Wolf

Bruce Wolf, M.D. is the Founder of the non-profits, The Dispensary of Hope and Hope Beyond Hope. He has been an allergist in private practice and a Vanderbilt Clinical Professor for 20 years. Dr. Wolf received his BA in English from Amherst College and his M.D. degree from the University of Louisville. He did his residency in Internal Medicine in Albany, New York and his Fellowship in Allergy in Memphis Tennessee. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy. Dr. Wolf served on the editorial board of the Journal of Asthma for 10 years. He has published numerous scientific articles in peer review journals in the field of allergy, anaphylaxis, asthma, and health economics. Dr. Wolf has been a social activist for many years. In 1983, prior to the movement being popular, he headed the New York State lobby for the Clean Indoor Air Act, anti-smoking legislation. In 1986, he organized the first AIDS Walk, “Steps in the Right Direction”, in the State of Tennessee. He also founded the Memphis AIDS Speakers’ Bureau and was the first President of the Memphis AIDS Coalition. He started Camp Wezbegon, the first camp for asthmatic children in Tennessee. He also served as the President of Jewish Family Services, from 1995-1997. Confronted throughout his medical career by the growing needs of the less fortunate, he helped create the DePaul Dispensary, an indigent pharmacy in Nashville, in 1997. In 2003, Dr. Wolf started the Dispensary of Hope in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He served as its President and Board Chairman for four years prior to becoming its Director of Strategic Partnerships. His efforts helped to lay the groundwork for the Dispensary’s Distribution Center and the Dispensary’s expansion nationwide. Dr. Sanjeev Thonan

Dr. Thohan is a Senior Director of preclinical safety at Xeris Pharmaceuticals. He holds MS and PhD degrees in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Arizona and University of Maryland with concentrations in interspecies drug metabolism mechanisms, bioactivation, and systems toxicology. Sanjeev has extensive experience in Oncology drug discovery and development from his time at Novartis and Exelixis. He was a Senior Research Fellow in Preclinical/Translational Sciences at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) in the Oncology, Anti-infectives and Cardiovascular medicines therapeutic areas. Dr. Thohan has held positions in increasing responsibility in ADME, DMPK and TOX areas of preclinical research with small and large organizations (Walter Reed Army Institute for Research, Covance, AstraZeneca, ViroPharma, Exelixis and Novartis). Sanjeev continues to be a contributing member of several national/international scientific societies. He actively serves on the advisory boards for several entrepreneurial corporations including an NIH collaborative platform with the centers for Advancing Innovation.
